We called Air Tech about an air balancing problem.  We had 2 rooms that were too cold in the winter and too warm in the summer.Mark from Air Tech called before coming out to our house and showed up on time - actually he was early which was great. I explained the problem and he investigated.  He found that the damper on the air duct that feeds the 2 rooms was almost shut.  He opened it and also tightened the damper so the air flow wouldn't cause it to shut on its own. I had looked for a damper previously but didn't know what to look for. Mark showed me how to find the dampers and how to adjust them. He also gave us some useful tips.  Mark did the work fast, was friendly and did just what was needed. No b.s. The next time I need heating or A\C work, I'll be calling Air Tech.
Thomas installed a new 3 ton air conditioning unit and new duct work in the attic.  The team was very professional, asked about my cooling issues and did excellent clean-up after the job as completed.  I would definitely use them again.
After we came back from a road trip over the weekend our house had warmed up to 86F. We started the AC to only find it not cooling the house. I called Air Tech on Monday (late morning) to see if it was possible for them to send someone for an inspection as soon as possible and they sent someone within a few hours of my call. Steve, opened the compressor unit outside and found the capacitor had exploded, the heat caused some insulation melt for a few wires, and the compressor rattled. He gave me all my options, answered all my questions and recommended that I replace the compressor with a comparable/slightly better unit. He did not pressure me into buying nor did he try to "over fix" the issue by trying to sell other services. While installing the new unit, the technicians identified another issue with the meter in the electric coil and worked on resolving the issue without any additional charges. Will definitely use them again.
Steve the technician arrived early in the appt window, explained what he was doing as he performed the diagnosis of my AC problem.  Problem was a burned out capacitor for which he had a replacement on his truck.  He also added about a pound of freon.  He checked the evaporator and plenum in the attic.  Done in about 45 minutes or so.  Ac working fine.  My unit is about 10 years old and will need attention from time to time until I need a new one in a few more years,I hope.   Air Tech will the first ones I call.
